Product Details
The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (1954) is one of the most iconic sports cars ever built. Known for its dramatic gullwing doors and sleek, aerodynamic shape, it was the fastest production car of its time.
Built with a lightweight tubular spaceframe chassis, the doors had to open upward—creating its signature look. It was also the first production car with fuel injection, using a 3.0-liter inline-six engine that produced around 215 horsepower, allowing a top speed of about 250 km/h (155 mph) — astonishing for the 1950s.
Originally derived from a race car, the 300 SL combined motorsport engineering, luxury, and style, making it a legend and one of the most valuable classic cars today.
